Canterbury District Fairtrade Network

Fairtrade Guide 2009

Please click here for a list of new outlets and products

The expanded guide is evidence of the continuing growth in support for Fairtrade locally. The number of shops, cafés, restaurants and guest houses offering Fairtrade products has further increased, and key institutions including the Cathedral and the two Universities continue to be very supportive. The new guide has been researched and compiled by Canterbury District Fairtrade Network and produced in cooperation with Canterbury City Council. As well as listing local outlets for Fairtrade products, it includes an introduction by George Alagiah OBE, patron of the Fairtrade Foundation, ‘Questions and Answers about Fairtrade’ and a special feature on Fairtrade cotton. It also includes a section emphasising the link between support for Fairtrade and support for local produce, and listing local farmers’ markets, food halls, and farm shops.
